Site Context

The site comprises a large forecourt area, which is surrounded on three sides by single and two storey showroom facilities associated with the former Hendy Car showroom. The site is located within the Royal Tunbridge Wells Conservation Area, and adjacent to 17-21 Mount Ephraim which is a Grade II listed terrace. St Andrew’s United Reform Church is located to the north of the Site, and the proposed development provides an opportunity to open up the stain glass window on the southern elevation.

Local Context and Listed Building:

The emerging proposals are being developed based on the existing urban grain and character of Royal Tunbridge Wells, which includes permeable streets, varied building scales and architectural features.
